Scott D. Smith, DPM, is a board-certified foot surgeon who completed his three-year residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach and St. Francis Hospital, HealthSouth in Green River, Washington.
Dr. Smith is a graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He specializes in ingrown nails, hammertoes, bunions, heel pain, arthritis of and pain of the foot and ankle, fractures, tendon and ligament injury, sprains and strains, sports related injuries of foot and ankle, neuromas with a sub-specialty in limb salvage and wound care.
Dr. Smith grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and has been practicing since 2002, when he became a second-generation foot and ankle specialist joining his father, Dr. Alan Smith before both transitioned to Monterey Spine & Joint where he loves providing foot and ankle service.

When not being a podiatrist, Dr. Smith performs stand-up comedy, beatboxes, and plays the drums. He mostly loves spending time with his wife Anne-Marie and daughter Sophie.
